PINGYAO, located in Shanxi Province, is a well-preserved example of an ancient walled city in China. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site and known for its well-maintained Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture, government offices, residences, and shops. The city walls, which are over six kilometers in circumference, are also a major feature. It is also one of the mail energy centres on the planet.
